- In certain printers there is hardware that lets the manufacturer know if replacement toners have been used. The genuine toners have the necessary hardware to maintain your warranty. IT IS ILLEGAL for a company not to honour your warranty because of the use of a compatible/remanufactured ink or toner. As a consumer it is your RIGHT to buy what you want.

- Buying remanufactured cartridges saves you the customer money! Not only does it save you money but the environmental impact is lessened by the reuse of the actual cartridge.

- Each year 375 million gallons of oil are consumed in the production of new printer ink cartridges. Each laser toner produced requires over three quarts of oil to make it. The average cartridge takes 260 years to biodegrade.

- Remanufactured cartridges are empty cartridges that have been thoroughly cleaned, filled with the same toner formulation, inspected for any possible leakage, tested, and finally ran through an actual print test.

7. What are compatible cartridges?

- Compatible cartridges and toners are products not made by the OEM but by a third party. These are exactly the same as OEM. Some of them are even higher in quality that OEM/Original brand.
